Terrine

Trieste (Italy), Santini and Sinibaldi manufacture, end of 18th, beginning of 19th century. Form: cream-coloured ceramic, shaped in a relief mould.
Base in the shape of a vine leaf, vessel in the shape of a pumpkin or melon, relief applications, a broken off knob; the mark of the maker imprinted on the bottom side. The vessel has a very interesting shape; it can be assumed that it was used either for vegetable side dishes or as a sauceboat.
