The quality stonemasonry and sculpture workshop of Andriolo de Sanctis operated in the broader area of Venetian lands. The material kept by the museum and the Koper Cathedral belongs to the most valuable works of national mediaeval art. He is one of the rare identified mediaeval artists; he has been attributed with the sarcophagus of the town patron saint St Nazarius, kept in the Koper Cathedral.
